Description:
We sell extra virgin manaki olive oil from original and traditional agriculture. The manaki olive tree, its olive oil and its olives are so important because it has a thousand-year history and is the original olive tree of the farmers from Argolida and Arcadia. The trees are reluctant to be cultivated in plantations, require a lot of space and love poor soil. Since they have deep roots, they are self-sufficient in water and have enough biological power against parasites. The harvest begins in October and ends in November. Harvested is traditionally done by hand, using hand rakes. The transport to the mill takes place carefully in boxes and not in sacks. On the day of harvest, the olives are processed into extra virgin olive oil in a modern press using the process of mechanical first and cold pressing. In the course of processing, heat develops up to a maximum of 27 degrees Celsius. After the freshly pressed olive oil has been filtered, it is placed in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. As soon as all certificates and specifications are available, sales can begin. Our olive oil has an average acidcontent of approx. 0.2%. Through the traditional care of the olive groves, due to the gentle harvesting and processing of the olives to extra virgin olive oil, all of its valuable ingredients are fully preserved.
Extra virgin manaki olive oil is particularly tasty, fruity, intense and at the same time oily and velvety in taste.
Another advantage of the manaki olive tree is that it also provides excellent edible olives.
